The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and the Airports Authority of India (AAI) jointly organized an "Empowered Women" seminar at Surat Airport to promote women's health, well-being, and awareness.

The seminar was chaired by Dr. Nabin Medhi (Belagavi). During the event, Dr. Pavan Patel, a gynecologist from Shraddha Hospital and Surat Police Headquarters, delivered an informative session on women's health and preventive care.

As part of the Government of India's "Sashakt Nari, Sashakt Parivar" (Empowered Women, Empowered Family) initiative, the seminar focused on:

  • Women's physical and mental health
  • Family health and medical awareness
  • Early detection and prevention of breast cancer
  • Awareness about cervical cancer
  • Prevention and management of diabetes

Dr. Patel also explained the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, regular medical check-ups, blood pressure monitoring, blood sugar testing, and ECG examinations. Participants were encouraged to adopt preventive healthcare practices and seek timely medical consultation.

The seminar was attended by women personnel from CISF, officials from AAI, and other staff members. Free health check-ups were also organized as part of the program.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Pavan Patel said that such awareness programs and health camps are highly beneficial for women working in demanding environments like airports, as they encourage early diagnosis and help prevent serious diseases through regular screening and timely treatment.
